    Location, location, location.

Want a view of the Eiffel Tower, this was PRIME!

We had a pleasant experience at Chez Francis.  The service was a little slow, but we were thankful because we wanted to drag the night out to see the Eiffel Tower lights.

The food was ok, not amazing but good.  If it didn't have a view it probably would have been a 2 1/2 star review but that view just smooths out most of the rough spots.  Says something we didn't take pics of the food.

Warning: Disrespectful staff! Awful. Awful. AWFUL. My mother and I were drawn in by Chez Francis being the only restaurant open at the time, and the amazing view of the Eiffel Tower. We were seated and our waitress showed up 5 minutes later and got our drink order. the water didn't show up for 20 minutes! We finally flagged down the waitress and put in our entree order.

But here's the tip on the iceberg: my mother tried to move her chair and a waiter comes over and SCOLDS HER, A GROWN WOMAN, on moving a chair out of line! Absolutely disrespectful, and believe me, they got an earful about this.

Food came out 40 minutes later and it was subpar. The waitress gave me the WRONG ORDER, but she was never around to ask how things were to correct it.

Finally, we got our check. It was the WRONG CHECK, but we just wanted to get out of there! In the end, we would've rather starved!! DONT COME HERE!

Come here for the location, but nothing else. We ordered a bottle of rose wine and two french onion soups. Rose was good, soup was meh. Service was very slow. Obviously, the view of the Eiffel Tour is nice and finding a quality place near such a huge tourist attraction is difficult, but wouldn't recommend coming here unless you're really just coming for the view and a drink.

The location is pretty prime and in a very touristy area by the river, so one would expect it to be friendlier service with all the business it gets, but that's not really the case. Maybe if one spoke French well it would be better? But if you're an English speaker, you can forget decent service.

Not just slow waiting time, but poor attention and lots of couldnt-care-less attitude was served along with the overpriced food.

I understand the reason for the prices to be higher in this area; in the middle of Paris near the Eiffel Tower...but this would make one expect many tourists! But the attitude is like they dont want you there so.... I dont get it.

Ok food overall, but honestly with the service quality and high prices, I wouldn't recommend.

On a recent trip to Paris (in November) we stopped for a casual dinner when we saw it had a fantastic Eiffle Tower view.  I am happy I didn't check Yelp before because I would have likely passed on this place and missed a gem in the rough.

We sat outside where they had heaters on and just watched the world pass by.

I ordered the Sea Bass in a lemongrass broth with a side of rice that was out of this world.  It was perfectly prepared and simply delicious.  My husband had a steak and fries and he said they were 4 out 5.  Not bad considering my hubs is extremely picky on steaks!  (Plus we are from Texas, and we know our beef! Just saying! )

Our experience with our waiter was wonderful!  He joked with us and was attentive when needed to be.  French waiters are different than the ones at home, so don't expect them to come to you every 5 minutes checking on you.... they allow you to control the flow and speed of the meal. Knowing that, you will be able to set your expectations for ANY restaurant in France.

    Absolutely will come back!
